Kylian Mbappe labels Euro 2024 a "failure" after France's Semi-Final Exit.

Kylian Mbappé has admitted that both he and France failed at Euro 2024 after their semi-final loss to Spain. France, despite being pre-tournament favorites, struggled to live up to the expectations and suffered a 2-1 defeat, marking their first major tournament semi-final loss since Euro 1996.

Mbappé, who ended the tournament without a non-penalty goal from 23 shots, expressed his disappointment with the team's performance and his own lack of contribution. He even confessed that he was not good enough and that France, as a whole, failed to secure the European title they were striving for.
Despite facing a broken nose during the group stage, Mbappé refused to let the injury be an excuse for his lack of goals, acknowledging that he needs to rest and prepare for a new chapter with Real Madrid.

The semi-final saw Mbappé playing without the protective mask he wore in the previous three games due to his vision being affected. He explained that he was tired of the mask and, after consulting with the doctor, made the decision to play without it.
Mbappé's self-critique highlights the pressure he faces as a key player for both club and country. While he acknowledges the disappointment of the loss, he is determined to move forward and focus on the future.
