West Ham to Reinvest After Flynn Downes' £18m Sale to Southampton

West Ham United are set to reinvest promptly following the sale of Flynn Downes to Southampton for £18 million. The midfielder, who spent the previous season on loan at St Mary’s, has signed a four-year contract with the Saints after playing a crucial role in their promotion back to the Premier League.
Southampton manager Russell Martin expressed his delight at securing Downes, highlighting his influence both on and off the pitch. Downes himself is thrilled to return to a club where he felt a strong connection with the staff and fans.

West Ham, meanwhile, are reportedly eyeing Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka as a key target. The right-back position needs reinforcement after the departure of Ben Johnson to Ipswich Town. Wan-Bissaka, who has interest from Galatasaray and Everton, prefers a move back to London, making West Ham the frontrunners for his signature.
The Hammers are keen to strengthen their squad under new manager Julen Lopetegui, and Wan-Bissaka's addition would be a strategic move to solidify their defense for the upcoming season.
