Barcelona comfirm signing of 21 year old centre back from MLS
Barcelona have announced an agreement with Los Angeles FC to sign Mamadou Mbacke, after he spent last season on loan at Barca Atletic. The Blaugrana managed to seal a deal for around half of his stipulated fee.
The Blaugrana have managed to move again quickly after Jorthy Mokio snubbed them to go to Ajax, agreeing a price that was half of their €4m buy option, as per Sport. Mback has also signed a new deal with club for the coming four years. The 21-year-old was a key part of Barca Atletic’s push for promotion last year, and was on the fringes of the first team.
Should Mikayil Faye end up departing the club, then Mbacke will be on the fringes of the first team, should he continue his form from last season. The Senegalese defender will not be short of game time, and should be a big part of Barca Atletic's season.
