Chelsea forward wants to join Everton this summer

Chelsea have not been as aggressive in making high-priced signings this summer, but they have already made waves in the transfer market by signing one of the world’s best prospects in Willian Estevao, Euro 2024 standout Renato Veiga, Barcelona gem Marc Guiu, and Leicester City’s talented Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
These are all quality, relatively inexpensive (Dewsbury-Hall is the priciest at 35 million euros) signings that can help set Chelsea up for the future, which has been the M.O. of the club’s transfer policy since Todd Boehly took over as owner.
In order to keep making upgrades to an attack that was disappointing outside of breakout superstar Cole Palmer last season, Chelsea are going to have to let some unwanted faces go.
Striker Armando Broja has long been on the exit list at Chelsea, and after a poor performance on loan at Wolves, the Blues are hoping for a more suitable environment for the physically imposing No. 9.
According to a report from journalist Mark Douglas, Broja would be interested in signing with Premier League side Everton this summer as a Dominic Calvert-Lewin replacement. However, he may be closer to a move to AC Milan now.
Calvert-Lewin is one of the better strikers in English football, but he’s had trouble staying fit on the pitch and is a candidate for a transfer this summer if a suitable offer were to arrive.
And if Calvert-Lewin were to indeed leave Everton, Broja would be interested in coming in and competing with the likes of Beto as the new No. 9 for a perennially struggling Everton.
Broja is just 22 and is talented, so he could make sense for Everton on a loan with a reasonable option to buy – or even on a permanent transfer under 20 million euros.
However, he isn’t as good as a healthy Calvert-Lewin nor as established, and considering how close Everton have been to relegation lately, they would likely want someone more established than Broja, who hasn’t shown he is a Premier League-caliber forward yet.
Milan likely have the same concerns about Broja and a higher standard of quality, even after signing Alvaro Morata as a starter. After dealing with Luka Jovic failing to ever break out, Milan may not want to take on a second dice roll at striker, still making Everton a more feasible option for playing time.
