Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Reims midfielder Richardson

According to French media outlet Foot Mercato, Tottenham Hotspur are showing interest in Reims midfielder Richardson, who has been performing exceptionally well at the Olympics with Morocco. The Premier League club is currently assessing the feasibility of this deal.
In recent years, Reims has become a stepping stone for young talents moving to big clubs, with players like Disasi, Edouard Mendy, and Cajuste being sold for significant profits. Richardson, the young Moroccan Olympic team player, might be another example this summer. His impressive performance in the Paris Olympics has helped his team reach the semi-finals, where they will face Spain tonight.
Reportedly, Tottenham has added Richardson to their list of transfer targets and is closely monitoring his Olympic performance. The Moroccan U23 international joined Reims from Le Havre for €2 million in 2022 and experienced a breakthrough season while on loan. However, after returning to Reims last season, he didn't fully secure his place, making 28 league appearances but starting only 14 times. Despite primarily being used as a defensive midfielder, he scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist.
Richardson's current contract runs until 2027, and it remains to be seen if Reims will allow this young talent to leave. Meanwhile, besides Tottenham, Leicester City, Everton, and Udinese have also shown interest in him, and Reims' asking price is expected to be no less than €10 million.
