West Ham Eyes Todibo Amidst Juventus Negotiations Stalemate

West Ham United is actively pursuing a deal to acquire Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo, a player previously on the radar of Manchester United and Juventus. Earlier in the summer, West Ham had reached a loan agreement with Nice, including an option to buy Todibo for €32 million. However, Todibo seemed to be holding out for a move to Juventus.
Juventus has been engaged in protracted negotiations with Nice but has yet to reach an agreement. This stalemate has opened the door for West Ham to revisit their interest in Todibo. The club is exploring options for either a loan with an obligation to buy or a straight permanent transfer.
The decision ultimately rests with Todibo, should West Ham finalize terms with Nice. Despite Manchester United's interest, a transfer is complicated due to ownership ties between INEOS, which holds stakes in both Manchester United and Nice, preventing player transfers between the two clubs.
As the summer transfer window approaches its closure on August 30, West Ham is in urgent need of a centre-back, with Kurt Zouma set to leave for UAE club Shabab Al-Ahli. The club is hopeful to secure Todibo to bolster their defensive line.
