Girona head coach Michel expressed his concerns about the team's preseason performance

"Our preseason performance has not been good. We haven't been able to train with all the players. With only five days left until the match, I'm still unclear about the team's lineup and tactics," Míchel said candidly. He explained that the team's training has been affected by players participating in other events like the Olympics, the European Championship, and the Copa América, as well as injuries and the delayed arrival of new signings. He is worried because he dislikes feeling like he's not in control of the team. Nevertheless, Míchel believes that the daily training sessions have been good, and the players have been working hard. He is confident that the team will be ready.
Regarding tactical arrangements, Michel also expressed the difficulties. "People might not be worried, but I am. Many players have only just joined the team, which makes the situation very complicated. The process is very important for us, and it's been challenging."
"I'm calm because we've done good work, but I don't think the team is fully formed yet, and that worries me. We have a game in five days, but I believe we'll do our best to prepare for the first match." The word "worry" appeared frequently in his statements.
As for the new season, Míchel has no doubts. "I believe the team will compete in every match. My responsibility is to shape the team into a collective as soon as possible. This will be a special season, and I want to work in the best possible way."
"My motivation is absolute because we must build a competitive team with a winning mentality, and I hope we can make an impact in the upcoming Champions League."
