Manchester United Secure De Ligt Transfer from Bayern

Manchester United has finalized a deal to sign defender Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich for €50 million (£42.9 million), including €5 million in add-ons. The 24-year-old Dutch international is expected to undergo his medical soon, with personal terms already agreed upon. De Ligt previously thrived under United manager Erik ten Hag at Ajax, and the club is hopeful that their reunion will bring out his best form.
Having spent two seasons at Bayern, De Ligt played 73 matches and scored five goals. His addition follows United's earlier signing of Leny Yoro, although Yoro is currently sidelined with an injury. De Ligt's move aims to bolster a defense plagued by injuries last season.
In addition to De Ligt, Manchester United is also pursuing Bayern's right-back Noussair Mazraoui, pending Aaron Wan-Bissaka's anticipated transfer to West Ham. This transfer activity highlights United's efforts to strengthen their squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
