Arsenal signs Merino for €32 million plus €5 million in add-ons

According to The Athletic's renowned journalist David Ornstein, Arsenal has reached a preliminary agreement with Real Sociedad to sign Mikel Merino. Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal with his signature "Here we go."
David Ornstein reported that Arsenal has agreed to a deal with Real Sociedad to sign Merino for a fixed transfer fee of €33.5 million, plus €5 million in add-ons, with favorable payment terms for Arsenal. Arsenal has also reached an agreement on personal terms with Merino, who will sign a four-year contract with an option for the club to extend it for another year.
Subsequently, Romano confirmed the deal with "Here we go," stating that a verbal agreement has been reached for Merino to join Arsenal. The transfer fee is €32 million, plus €5 million in add-ons, and the contract will be valid until 2028.
