Koeman: Mistakes are part of football

In the first round of the UEFA Nations League A, the Netherlands defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina with a score of 5-2. After the match, Dutch head coach Ronald Koeman gave an interview.

Koeman stated: "We performed very well in terms of ball possession. It was clean, fast, and we often found spaces between the lines of our opponents. Especially in the second half, there was a period when we played very well, but then we conceded two goals, which is something we need to remember. When the score became 3-2, you could see some hesitation from the team, which was unnecessary given the match situation at that time. The opponents scored two goals with very few chances."

When discussing Matthijs de Ligt's mistake, Koeman commented: "He himself realized that his positioning was off. This shouldn’t happen, but mistakes are part of football. I don’t think we should make a big deal out of it."
