England's interim head coach Lee Carsley gave an interview to ITV

After leading the team to a 2-0 away win over Ireland in the first round of the UEFA Nations League group stage, England's interim head coach Lee Carsley gave an interview to ITV.

Carsley said: "I think some aspects were pretty good, and you've already seen some of the things we're trying to do."  
"The boys deserve a lot of credit, all the credit. I think we showed our talent, and we're also very happy to have kept a clean sheet."  
"I think they (Declan Rice and Jack Grealish) took their chances well, with well-executed attacks and brilliant finishes. Looking ahead, I believe both of them can score even more goals in future matches."  
"Jack (Grealish) certainly has nothing to prove to us, we all see his talent, but it's good for him to score another goal for England today, and hopefully, he can keep up this form."  
"Playing on a very dry and slippery pitch isn’t ideal for dribblers, but I think Anthony (Gordon) was definitely a threat. He carried over his form from last season and looks like a very dangerous player."  
"I also think you have to give credit to Ireland; they were very resilient and closed the gaps. In the second half, the spaces opened up a bit more for us."  
"We found it a bit difficult to break them down, but at 2-0, we were fairly comfortable."
