Fluminense has officially announced the mutual termination of their contract with Marcelo

Brazilian club Fluminense has officially announced the mutual termination of their contract with 36-year-old former Brazilian international Marcelo.
Marcelo returned to his boyhood club Fluminense as a free agent in February 2023 after leaving Olympiacos. Since then, he has made 68 official appearances for the Brazilian team, scoring five goals and providing three assists, while helping Fluminense win both the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana.
Although Marcelo’s original contract was set to expire in December of this year, Fluminense has confirmed that they reached an agreement to terminate the contract early, making the former Real Madrid star a free agent once again.
