Marcelo’s Farewell Message: Proud of My Achievements, and the Truth Will Eventually Come to Light
Previously, Brazilian club Fluminense officially announced that they had mutually agreed to terminate Marcelo's contract. Marcelo then shared a farewell message on social media.

Marcelo’s full message reads as follows:
"I have had a wonderful journey with this club. About two years ago, I decided to return out of a deep emotional connection to the team, and here I experienced unforgettable moments, like winning the first Copa Libertadores in the club’s history. My name will be part of the newly renovated Marcelo Vieira Stadium, where kids from Xerém train every day.
I want to thank my wife and children, who have always been by my side and have made many sacrifices for me. I am proud of what I’ve achieved and grateful to everyone who made this moment so special, especially the club president, the staff, and my teammates. I also thank the fans for their support—I will always carry Fluminense in my heart.
The truth is like the sunrise; it will come out in the open eventually. 💜"
