Spurs head coach Greg Popovich has encountered health issues

According to renowned reporter Shams, San Antonio Spurs head coach Greg Popovich, 75, is experiencing health issues, and assistant coach Mitch Johnson is expected to serve as the interim head coach indefinitely.
Sources informed ESPN that Popovich encountered health problems before Saturday's game, and Johnson will take over as interim head coach for upcoming games, including Monday's matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers and Wednesday's game against the Houston Rockets.
Popovich's health issues arose prior to the Spurs' game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Spurs have stated that Popovich is dealing with an undisclosed illness.
Greg Popovich has been the head coach of the Spurs since the 1996-1997 season, making it 29 seasons in total, the longest tenure for any coach with a single team in the four major North American professional sports leagues. He has led the Spurs to five NBA championships (1999, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2014), won the NBA Coach of the Year award three times (2003, 2012, 2014), and was named the head coach of the Western Conference All-Star team four times (2005, 2011, 2013, 2016).
In March 2022, Popovich achieved his 1,336th career win, surpassing the legendary Don Nelson for the most wins in NBA history. In April 2023, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
