A Saudi club offered €8 million for Casadó this summer

According to *Diario Sport*, a Saudi club attempted to sign Barcelona’s young midfielder Marc Casadó this summer.
The 21-year-old Casadó was promoted to Barça’s first team by Xavi this summer and has since made 13 appearances, starting 11 times and contributing five assists. According to *Diario Sport*, several of Saudi Arabia’s top clubs, along with some investment funds, discreetly approached Barcelona, aware of the club’s financial struggles, and inquired about multiple players, including Casadó.
The report further reveals that one Saudi club was prepared to offer €8 million for Casadó, who at that time had not yet started for Barcelona’s first team, but the deal ultimately fell through. In hindsight, Barcelona can consider it a fortunate turn of events that the transfer didn’t go through.
