FT: Sporting CP 4-1 Manchester City

In Matchday 4 of the UEFA Champions League, Manchester City faced Sporting CP away. In the first half, Phil Foden intercepted the ball up front and scored with a powerful shot. Mateo Kovačić’s long-range effort was blocked, Francisco Trincão’s one-on-one chip shot was stopped by Ederson, Erling Haaland’s shot went wide, and Bernardo Silva’s low shot missed the goal. Trincão then scored to equalize.
In the second half, Maximiliano Araújo scored with a low shot, and Josko Gvardiol conceded a penalty, which Trincão converted. Savinho’s long-range shot went high, Diomande conceded another penalty for a handball, but Haaland’s penalty hit the crossbar and bounced out. Matheus Nunes fouled Catamo and gave away a penalty, which Trincão converted to complete his hat-trick. In the end, Manchester City suffered their first Champions League loss of the season, falling 1-4 to Sporting CP away.
