Real Madrid eyeing Jonathan Tah as Eder Militao cover
Real Madrid are interested in signing the Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah.
According to Fichajes, they are plotting a move for the 28-year-old German international defender and they will face competition from Manchester United and Barcelona.
The defender will be free in the summer of 2025, and he could be available for a reasonable price in January. Alternatively, he could secure a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs when the transfer window reopens in January and join them on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Eder Militao is ruled out with a serious injury, and it seems that Real Madrid might be looking at Tah as a cover for the Brazilian in January.
It is no secret that they need to bring in defensive reinforcements. David Alaba is 32 and, Antonio Rudiger is 31. Real Madrid need to start planning for the future and Tah would be a quality addition. The 28-year-old could be a leader at the back for them. He is at the peak of his powers right now and he could be a key player for them over the next few seasons. In addition to that, the opportunity to sign him on a free transfer will be hard to turn down.

Barcelona have been linked with the defender as well. They could certainly use a bargain signing like him. They are going through financial difficulties and the 28-year-old would be a superb addition to their defensive unit for a reasonable amount of money.
