Liverpool set Wataru Endo asking price, player keen on exit
Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo has been linked with a move away from the club.
The midfielder is frustrated with the lack of game time and he would be willing to leave in the coming months. According to Caught Offside, Liverpool are ready to sanction his departure and they have set a very modest asking price for the Japanese international.
According to the report, they would be willing to sell him for just €15-18 million. It will be interesting to see if any club is willing to provide him with an exit route. Multiple clubs across Europe are keen on him, including the Italian outfit AC Milan.
Endo could prove to be a quality acquisition for them. The 31-year-old has impressed in the Premier League with his work rate, discipline, attitude, and tenacity. He could prove to be a very useful acquisition for Milan if they can get the deal done. The reported asking price is quite reasonable as well and the Italian outfit should be able to afford him without any problems.
Can Milan get the deal done?
It will be interesting to see if Milan step up their pursuit of the player with an official proposal in the coming months. The 31-year-old needs to play more often at this stage of his career and sitting on the bench at Liverpool is unlikely to benefit him. Joining a big club like Milan will be an attractive opportunity for the player. He will look to prove himself in Italian football and help them win trophies.
Apart from his qualities as a player, his leadership skills could prove to be invaluable as well.
It remains to be seen when Liverpool can get rid of the midfielder in January and invest the proceeds from his departure on a new signing. They need to add more quality and depth in the middle of the park as well. Signing a younger defensive midfielder with more potential would be ideal for Liverpool.
