The Sun: Coote Suspected of Cocaine Use During the Euros

According to reports, Premier League referee David Coote, who was suspended over the incident of insulting Klopp, has landed in even bigger trouble.



The British media outlet *The Sun* exclusively released an 8-second video in which Coote, recently caught in a media storm, is seen widening his eyes and using a rolled-up dollar bill to inhale what appears to be a four-inch line of suspected cocaine. This new video was recorded on July 6, a day after the UEFA Euro 2024 quarterfinal match between Spain and Germany, where he served as VAR assistant (note: Coote was actually VAR assistant for the Portugal vs. France match that day).

On the nightstand next to the white powder, several packs of prescription medication, a credit card, and the novel *Year of the Locust* by Terry Hayes can be seen. Coote reportedly sent this video to a friend, stating that he filmed it in a hotel room funded by UEFA. Additionally, on July 1, Coote sent another photo from Frankfurt showing his credit card on a plate with six lines of suspicious white powder on either side, also reportedly taken in his UEFA-appointed hotel room.
