--------------------------------------------
Morocco have been the most dominant national team in Africa when it comes to qualifying for major competitions. In a Group E that has been disrupted by off the pitch issues involving two nations, the Atlas Lions are set to run away from the competition. But March presents opportunities, even if the odds are low, for Niger and Tanzania to pose a threat if one of them can get a result in the North African nation.

Evaluation
Group E has been completely upended, first by the withdrawal of minnows Eritrea and then last month's FIFA suspension handed down to the Republic of Congo due to an ongoing issue of competing entities vying for control of the country's football affairs. However, there is one thing that is undisputed: Morocco are heavy favorites to seize control of the group and pull away from the pack.
There will only be two matches played during the March window in the group, both of which will be held in Morocco. Due to a lack of approved home venue by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Niger will have to host their "home" match against the Atlas Lions in Morocco while Tanzania are away to the North African nation. Morocco have not lost a competitive home match in World Cup or Africa Cup of Nations qualifying in over fifteen years when they lost 0-2 to Cameroon in the qualifying competition for both the 2010 FIFA World Cup and 2010 Africa Cup of Nations.

Key Stats
Morocco have won six of the previous seven international matches between these teams. The exception being a 1-0 victory for Niger in African Cup of Nations qualifying in January 1991.
Morocco are unbeaten in their last 17 World Cup qualifying matches (W13 D4).
Morocco have won their last 11 matches in World Cup qualifying groups (only group matches).
Morocco have won their last eight international matches.
Morocco have kept five clean sheets in their last seven international matches.

Niger vs Morocco Prediction:Morocco to win
Niger would be widely viewed as one of the weaker sides in Africa but Eritrea being disqualified from qualification has benefitted them with the group being reduced to just five teams. They begin the fourth match day of the Group E campaign sitting second in the table.

Niger have managed two victories with one defeat in their opening three matches, scoring five goals and conceding two in the process. Their most recent FIFA-recognised outing saw them pull off a shock 2-1 defeat of Ghana in Accra but they still missed out on qualification for the 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations.

After reaching the semi-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Walid Regragui’s side are favourites for the aforementioned 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations this year with the Atlas Lions’ squad arguably even better than what it was in 2022. The north Africans have won three from three in FIFA World Cup qualification and are now on a ten-match unbeaten run of form.

Their last defeat came in dramatic circumstances against South Africa in last year’s AFCON Round of 16 but that can be put down as an anomaly and they are expected to win this one comfortably once again.
