--------------------------------
France
While Ibrahima Konate is fit to feature in this fixture, he might have to sit on the bench after a disappointing display last time out. Dayot Upamecano could replace him in the XI.

Didier Deschamps does not have any fresh injury concerns, but he could still make a few changes to the XI that started in their last outing. He could give a few youngsters a run as they hope for an incredible comeback.

Against Croatia, France will line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, where Mike Maignan will continue in goal. Jules Kounde and Theo Hernandez will feature as the full-backs, while Upamecano should partner with William Saliba at the heart of the defence.

Real Madrid duo Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga will anchor the midfield as a double pivot, aiming to shield the backline while dictating the tempo of the game.

Michael Olise and Bradley Barcola will feature on the flanks, providing much-needed width to their attacks. Meanwhile, Ousmane Dembele will take up the attacking midfielder’s role, and Mbappe will lead the line for France vs Croatia.

Croatia
While the visitors did not pick up any fresh injuries in the first leg, they will be without the services of Luka Sucic, who missed the first leg. Having secured a 2-0 win in the first leg, Croatia could switch to back three for the second leg.

The away side could line up in a 3-4-2-1 formation as they look to ensure they keep things tight and progress to the next round. Dominik Livakovic will be in goal for them, while Josko Gvardiol will partner with Josip Sutalo and Duje Caleta-Car in the central defensive partnership.

The back three will receive significant support from Josip Stanisic and Borna Sosa, who will feature as the wing-backs. Meanwhile, Luka Modric should continue to partner with Mateo Kovacic in the centre of the park. Ivan Perisic and Andrej Kramaric will be the two attacking midfielders behind Ante Budimir, who lead the line for Croatia vs France.

France possible starting lineup:
Maignan; Kounde, Upamecano, Saliba, T. Hernandez; Camavinga, Tchouameni; Olise, Dembele, Barcola; Mbappe

Croatia possible starting lineup:
Livakovic; Caleta-Car, Sutalo, Gvardiol; Stanisic, Modric, Kovacic, Sosa; Perisic, Kramaric; Budimir

France vs Croatia Head-to-Head and Key Numbers
France have a good historical record against Croatia and have won six out of the 11 matches played between the two teams, as opposed to Croatia's two victories.
After remaining winless in their first eight matches against France in all competitions on the international stage, Croatia have remained unbeaten in their last three such games and have won two of these matches.
France were on an unbeaten run of five matches on the trot in all competitions before they suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Croatia in the reverse fixture.
After suffering a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Scotland in the group stage of the UEFA Nations League, Croatia have been unbeaten in their last two games against France and Portugal in the competition.
Croatia have kept only one clean sheet in their last five matches in all competitions.

Prediction: France 2-0 Croatia (a.e.t, France win on penalties)
Back on home soil and with an embarrassment of riches to pick from in attack, France have our backing to at least level the tie in 90 minutes against a Croatia side who could be forgiven for sitting deep in the second leg. Not even 120 minutes may be enough to decide both teams' destiny, but if spot kicks are needed to settle the score, Les Bleus' significant firepower should be enough to complete a sterling comeback job and book their ticket to the semis.
