------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chelsea team news: The Blues showed plenty of grit and determination to battle back on Sunday, and we even managed to rest a few legs with Erin Cuthbert and Mayra Ramirez only playing in the second half.
Although the outcomes have not been always amazing, Sonia Bompastor has been smart with her squad rotation choices, especially given all our injuries. Many remain out with long-term ailments — though Mia Fishel is now back — but at least for this match we have no new injury concerns. We should be able to field our strongest available lineup.
Manchester City team news: City’s two-goal advantage already seemed pretty daunting, and if Khiara Keating has another worldie of a game like this weekend, it may well be insurmountable. But Keating has been known to make a few crucial errors, too, so there’s always that.
Like Chelsea, City have had more than their fair share of injuries, including during this run of fixtures. And now they also won’t be able to call upon Laura Blindkilde-Brown, who picked up an injury in training. Meanwhile both Laia Aleixandri and Yui Hasegawa were forced out from Sunday’s game due to fitness concerns, and they remain questionable for tomorrow.
Lineup
Chelsea: Hampton, Lawrence, Bronze, Bright (c), Charles, Jean-Francois, Kaptein, James, Hamano, Rytting Kaneryd, Beever-Jones
Man City: Keating, Casparij, Prior, Aleixandri (C), Layzell, Hasegawa, Roord, Coombs, Kerolin, Park, Miedema
Nowgoal Prediction: Chelsea to win.
