Inter Milan Targets Jay Idzes as Venezia Sets €10 Million Price Tag
Inter Milan is eyeing Jay Idzes, the central defender from Venezia FC, as part of their summer transfer plans for 2025. Venezia has reportedly set a price of €10 million (approximately IDR 183 billion) for the 24-year-old, who has drawn interest from several top clubs, including the Nerazzurri.
Securing a new defender is a top priority for Inter Milan as they look for a replacement for Francesco Acerbi. According to FCInternews, the club is closely monitoring two central defenders: Sam Beukema from Bologna and Idzes. Inter has already sent scouts to watch Venezia's match against Bologna on March 29, 2025, indicating their serious interest.
Although Inter has been tracking Beukema for some time, the price tag for the Bologna player, reportedly €30 million (about IDR 547 billion), could be too high. In contrast, Idzes offers a more affordable option at €10 million, which makes him a more cost-effective choice, especially if Venezia faces relegation, as his value could decrease further.
Idzes’ performance this season has garnered praise in Italy, with the defender receiving recognition for his strong performances against top Serie A strikers, including Mateo Retegui and RomeluLukaku. Despite Venezia’s difficult season, Idzes has emerged as one of their standout players, showcasing his reliability in tough matches.
Currently, Idzes is contracted with Venezia until June 2027. However, his departure could be triggered either by relegation or by a club willing to meet his release price.
