Potential Replacements for Ciro Alves at Persib Bandung
Ciro Alves has decided to part ways with Persib Bandung, ending his two-and-a-half-year stint with the club. The Brazilian forward, who joined Persib in 2022 from Persikabo 1973, made a significant impact, scoring 35 goals and providing 33 assists in 106 matches. His decision to leave stems from uncertainties regarding his contract renewal, which expires on April 30, 2025. With only four matches remaining in the 2024/2025 Liga 1 season, Persib now faces the challenge of finding a suitable replacement to fill the gap left by Ciro Alves.
One potential replacement is Ryo Matsumura, the Japanese forward currently playing for Persija Jakarta. Matsumura, who has scored 17 goals and provided 18 assists over the past two seasons, shares a similar playing style with Alves as a winger. However, acquiring Matsumura will not be easy, as he is still under contract with Persija for the upcoming season. Another potential option is SaddilRamdani, who recently left Sabah FC. Saddil has been linked with a move to Persib, though competition from other clubs like Bhayangkara FC and Selangor FC makes his transfer challenging.
A third possible candidate is Moussa Sidibe, a forward currently playing for Persis Solo. Sidibe has been impressive, scoring 19 goals and providing 9 assists in 51 appearances for Persis. His contract expires in May 2025, and with his strong performances, Sidibe could be a valuable addition to Persib's squad, especially with the club preparing for Asian competition next season. These three players are among the top candidates to replace Ciro Alves at Persib Bandung for the upcoming season.
