Indonesia U-17 National Team Secures Spot in Pot 3 for 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup

The Indonesia U-17 national team has officially been placed in Pot 3 for the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup, set to take place in Qatar. They are joined by 11 other teams, including Costa Rica, Tajikistan, Panama, North Korea, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, New Caledonia, Canada, South Africa, Austria, and Haiti. This placement marks an important step in the tournament's draw process, which will determine the group stage matchups based on various factors such as past performances and geographical representation.
The seeding process is crucial for ensuring a balanced and fair group stage. FIFA’s criteria for seeding typically take into account a team’s past performance in international tournaments, as well as the representation of different continents and the host country. The 2025 edition of the U-17 World Cup will be the first to feature 48 teams, which will be divided into 12 groups of four teams. The top two teams from each group, along with the eight best third-place finishers, will advance to the knockout rounds.
The official draw for the tournament will determine which teams from Pot 3, including Indonesia, will be grouped together. FIFA will announce the precise details and rules for the draw closer to the event, but the overall goal remains to create a competitive and equitable group stage. The 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup will run from November 3 to 27, offering young football talents a chance to showcase their skills on the world stage.
