Arema FC Granted Permission to Host Matches at Kanjuruhan Stadium

Arema FC has received approval from the local government to host two of their Liga 1 2024-25 home matches at Kanjuruhan Stadium in Malang. These matches will be against Persik Kediri on May 11, 2025, and Semen Padang on May 25, 2025. The club's management has agreed with the Malang Regency Government to use the stadium for these games and for future preparations leading into the 2025-26 season.
Kanjuruhan Stadium, which has recently undergone renovations with a budget of approximately IDR 357.84 billion, is expected to be fully completed by the end of 2024. The stadium now meets FIFA's safety standards, ensuring a secure environment for fans. Arema FC hopes for continued collaboration with the local authorities to ensure a safe and supportive atmosphere at their home games, with an emphasis on fan safety.
The Malang Youth and Sports Department (Dispora) expressed optimism about the partnership, encouraging the local community and Arema supporters to foster a positive environment for the development of football in the region. This partnership is seen as a step forward for both Arema FC and the local government in supporting the growth of sports in the area.
