Persib Bandung Makes Historic Mark with 2024–25 Liga 1 Championship Win

Persib Bandung officially clinched the 2024–25 Liga 1 title after their closest rivals, Persebaya Surabaya and Dewa United, failed to close the point gap. Although Persib had a chance to secure the championship earlier, a narrow loss to Malut United delayed their celebrations. However, the draw between Persebaya and Persik Kediri ultimately sealed Persib’s position at the top, rendering the remaining matches irrelevant to the title race.
This victory added significant milestones to Persib Bandung's history. For the first time, the club achieved back-to-back championships in Liga 1, a feat previously matched only by Bali United. Additionally, Persib won the league under a full competition format, something they had not accomplished in their previous title-winning seasons. These achievements highlight a new era of consistency and dominance for the team.
The title win is further amplified by the fact that Persib will lift the trophy in front of their home supporters in Bandung, offering a fitting celebration for their historic season. Bojan Hodak, the head coach, also cements his legacy by guiding the team to consecutive titles, reinforcing his impact on the club’s recent success.
