According to Relevo, with Xabi Alonso expected to manage Real Madrid, the club has begun summer signings, prioritizing the left-back position. With Mendy injured and Fran García the only natural left-back, Real Madrid aims to sign before the Club World Cup, targeting Bayer Leverkusen's Grimaldo and Girona's Miguel Gutiérrez.

Grimaldo is a key focus for Real Madrid. The ex-Barcelona youth player has impressed this season with strong crossing and European experience, earning Spain caps. Alonso reportedly admires his former player.

Miguel Gutiérrez, a Real Madrid academy graduate now at Girona, is also considered. Real Madrid has an €8m buy-back option, and the player is open to returning.

Real Madrid is also monitoring Álvaro Fernández and Ajax's Jorrel Hato, but their higher valuations make deals more complex.
