Ruben Amorim Pays for 30 Manchester United Staff to Attend Europa League Final

Manchester United has opted for cost-saving measures ahead of the 2024-25 Europa League final by not providing free tickets for coaching staff and other club employees. Instead, manager Ruben Amorim took it upon himself to ensure 30 members of the coaching staff could attend the final against Tottenham in Bilbao. Amorim personally covered the cost of the tickets, allowing them to bring their families along for the highly anticipated match.
The final, set for May 22, 2025, at San Mames Stadium, will see two Premier League giants compete for the Europa League title. UEFA has allocated 15,000 tickets to each club, but Manchester United has decided to prioritize their fans, distributing tickets primarily to supporters. Only two free tickets were provided for players, with additional tickets requiring players to purchase them independently. The decision not to cover staff travel costs is part of the club's broader strategy to manage expenses efficiently.
In addition to the ticket situation, Manchester United confirmed that if they win the Europa League, they will not host a victory parade due to budget constraints and the team's demanding schedule. With a crucial Premier League match against Aston Villa just three days after the final, followed by a tour to Asia, the club has decided to forgo any celebrations, focusing instead on their ongoing season.
