Justin Hubner Shines with Wolves U-21, Wins Player of the Season Award

Indonesian center-back Justin Hubner has been recognized for his outstanding performances with Wolverhampton Wanderers U-21 by receiving the Players’ Player of the Season award for the 2024-25 campaign. Throughout the season, he featured in 14 matches, with 12 of those appearances coming in Premier League 2. His consistent displays and leadership on the field earned him the respect of his teammates, who voted him as the standout performer of the year.
Beyond his defensive contributions, Hubner also began to take on leadership duties, wearing the captain’s armband in four matches. His growing influence within the squad was further reflected by his involvement in two training sessions with Wolves’ senior team, indicating that he is on the radar for potential promotion, although he has yet to make his debut in the Premier League.
Having joined Wolves in 2022, Hubner has accumulated 62 appearances for the U-21 side. With his contract set to expire at the end of this season, his future remains uncertain. Despite a brief loan spell in Japan with Cerezo Osaka, where he made eight appearances, it is unclear whether he will continue with Wolves or seek new challenges elsewhere.
