Persis Solo Signs Experienced Ajax Academy Graduate Xandro Schenk to Strengthen Defense
Persis Solo has officially signed Dutch central defender Xandro Schenk ahead of the 2025-26 Super League season. Schenk, a product of the renowned Ajax Amsterdam Academy, joins the club with hopes of bolstering their defensive line. His arrival adds to the growing Dutch influence within the team, which already includes Dutch head coach Peter de Roo and defender Jordy Tutuarima of Dutch-Maluku descent.
Before joining Persis Solo, Schenk played in Bulgaria’s top league with Septemvri Sofia, where he contributed goals and assists over a solid season. His extensive experience in European football, spanning the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, and Bulgaria, equips him to offer valuable leadership and support to his new teammates, helping them maximize their potential on the field.
Schenk’s career began at Ajax’s youth academy, where he spent over a decade before moving on to play for various clubs in the Netherlands, including Go Ahead Eagles and FC Twente. His professional journey has been marked by steady progress and adaptability, having competed in different leagues and countries, gaining a wealth of experience at each stop.
At 32 years old and standing at 188 cm, Schenk is determined to give his best for Persis Solo, promising to fight for every match and help the team achieve success. His blend of experience and commitment makes him a key addition as Persis Solo aims to compete strongly in Indonesia’s top-tier league this season.
