Barcelona Nears Major Summer Sale as Pau Victor Set for Braga Move

Barcelona is close to completing one of its biggest summer sales with the potential transfer of young forward Pau Victor to Braga. Despite arriving recently with promise, Victor saw limited minutes under coach Hansi Flick last season and is unlikely to feature regularly in the upcoming campaign, especially with Marcus Rashford expected to join the squad. His exclusion from the club’s preseason tour in Asia further signaled that his future likely lies elsewhere.
Reports indicate that Braga is ready to sign Victor in a deal worth €12 million, with an additional €3 million in potential bonuses. Barcelona is currently negotiating to include a buy-back clause in the contract, aiming to retain long-term control over the 23-year-old’s career. This strategic inclusion suggests the club still sees value in Victor’s development, even if he won’t be part of their immediate plans.
Victor had previously drawn interest from multiple clubs, including Valencia, but financial constraints caused them to back away from the deal. Despite a strong preseason showing last year and a prolific run with Barca Atletic two seasons ago, Victor has struggled to break into the first team. Braga now appears set to win the race for his signature, offering both competitive playing time and a favorable financial package for Barcelona.
If finalized, Victor’s departure would mark the sixth exit from Barcelona this summer. Other moves have included permanent and loan deals for players like Ansu Fati, Clement Lenglet, Pablo Torre, and Ander Astralaga. The sale of Victor, however, would significantly boost Barcelona’s transfer income—more than doubling the revenue from their recent outgoing transactions—as the club continues to raise funds for new signings.
