Galatasaray Eyes Inter Duo Benjamin Pavard and Yann Sommer in Ambitious Transfer Plan

Galatasaray is reportedly preparing a bold move in the summer transfer window by targeting two key players from Inter Milan: defender Benjamin Pavard and goalkeeper Yann Sommer. The Turkish champions are planning to initiate formal discussions with Inter in hopes of securing both players, aiming to bolster their squad with experienced European talent.

Pavard is at the top of Galatasaray’s wishlist due to his versatility in defense, despite their earlier interest in Monaco’s Wilfried Singo. The club intends to propose a loan deal with an option to buy for the 29-year-old Frenchman. Given Inter’s financial considerations, they are likely to reject any loan-based offers.

In addition to Pavard, Galatasaray is also targeting Yann Sommer as a potential solution in goal after their efforts to sign Manchester City's Ederson fell through. The Turkish club sees Sommer, a seasoned Swiss international, as a viable alternative and is aiming to acquire him on a free transfer. His experience and availability make him a strong candidate to fill the role.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan’s interest in Parma’s rising star Giovanni Leoni is influencing their willingness to offload current players. With Leoni’s price tag reportedly around €40 million and the player preferring to stay in Parma for another season, Inter must carefully navigate their transfer strategy. The club needs to generate funds through player sales like Pavard before moving forward with new signings, making this transfer window a critical period for both their finances and future squad planning.
