Super League 2025-26: Club Market Values Soar After Foreign Player Boost

The 2025-26 Super League transfer window has officially closed, with all 18 participating clubs finalizing their squads. Under the league’s new regulations, each team is allowed to sign up to 11 foreign players, although only eight can be featured in a single match. Among the clubs, Persib Bandung, Persija Jakarta, and Arema FC fully utilized the foreign player quota, while others signed between eight to ten. Bali United was the most conservative, signing only eight international players for the season.
A total of 582 players are registered across all clubs this season, including 175 foreign players. This surge in player numbers and international signings has significantly boosted the overall market value of the Super League to approximately Rp 1.35 trillion. Clubs are increasingly investing in talent to strengthen their competitiveness in the revamped league format.
Persib Bandung leads the league in market value with Rp 128.36 billion, followed by Persija Jakarta at Rp 106.90 billion and Dewa United at Rp 104.90 billion. These top three clubs not only have a full complement of foreign players but also boast deep and balanced squads. Other notable teams like PSM Makassar, PSIM Yogyakarta, and Persebaya Surabaya also rank high, each maintaining a strong mix of local and international talent.
At the lower end of the market value table are clubs like Madura United, Semen Padang, and PSBS Biak, the latter having the smallest squad value at Rp 36.07 billion. Despite having fewer high-value players, these clubs are still expected to make the most of their rosters throughout the season. The significant variance in club valuations highlights the financial and strategic diversity across the Super League as it enters a competitive new era.
