Patrick Kluivert’s Coaching Era Ends: Full Staff List Confirmed in Indonesia Exit

The collaboration between Patrick Kluivert and the Indonesian national team has officially come to an end following a mutual termination agreement confirmed by PSSI. Initially appointed on a two-year contract, Kluivert’s tenure concluded earlier than planned, with all technical staff signing off on the decision. This marks the closure of a short but eventful chapter in Indonesia’s football transition under an international coaching setup.
Kluivert arrived with an extensive backroom team designed to overhaul multiple national squads, including senior, U-23, and U-20 levels. His main assistants—Alex Pastoor, Denny Landzaat, and Gerald Vanenburg—played central roles in shaping the team’s tactical direction. Vanenburg also doubled as head coach of the U-23 side, while Frank van Kempen had been positioned for the U-20 setup, highlighting the wide scope of their involvement.
In addition to the core coaching group, a comprehensive support staff was brought in to elevate performance standards. This included physical trainer Quentin Jacoba, physiotherapists Leo Echteld and Chesley ten Oever, video analyst Jordy Kuitenberg, and development specialists Bram Verbruggen and Regi Blinker. Their collective presence reflected an ambitious structure aimed at modernizing Indonesian football operations on and off the field.
Although the majority of Kluivert’s staff have formally departed, speculation remains regarding two key figures—Technical Director Alexander Zwiers and Head of Talent Scouting Simon Tahamata—who are believed to be staying on. As PSSI moves toward a new managerial direction, the departure of such a large coaching contingent signals a reset, leaving questions about continuity and the future framework of the national team.
