Nani: Continued Man Utd Wins Could Change Premier League Landscape; No Europe is a 'Good Thing'

Former Manchester United winger Nani believes his old club has the potential to become a "dark horse" Premier League title contender this season, provided they maintain their current momentum. Speaking to Covers.com, Nani suggested that the league landscape could be drastically altered by United’s continued success.
"Why not? United are building a strong squad and are trying to get back into the competition at the highest level," Nani said. "If United can win the next few games, the league structure could change completely. So, everything is still open. We should keep winning and then see the outcome."
Nani also highlighted a silver lining in the club's struggles last season: the absence of European football this term. He argued that the lack of mid-week fixtures is a "good thing" for their current rebuilding phase.
"At the current stage of United's development, no Europe is more beneficial," he explained. "The team has more time to prepare and can train the players more thoroughly. Without extra mid-week games, the team will have an easier time working on tactics and other preparations, allowing them to be better prepared for the weekend league matches."
The Portuguese veteran praised the immediate impact of new signings like Mbeumo, Cunha, and Šeško, noting their high work rate and energy. He emphasized that their commitment and goals have injected a high level of quality into the squad, giving the team a crucial boost early in the season.
