Pep Guardiola relishing Liverpool test as Man City star sends 'unbelievable' Erling Haaland warning

Man City host Liverpool in arguably the biggest game of the Premier League weekend
Jeremy Doku says he is targeting the “perfect week” after Manchester City cruised to victory over Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.
Phil Foden eased the goalscoring burden on Erling Haaland - who still netted against his former club - with a brace and Rayan Cherki completed a good night’s work with his first Champions League goal for the club.
That made it back-to-back home wins for Man City following their 3-1 victory over Bournemouth in the Premier League last weekend.
Next up is the visit of Liverpool on Sunday in a fixture which is being billed as ‘must-win’ for both sides in order to avoid falling further behind current league leaders Arsenal.
The Reds will have an extra 24 hours to prepare for the game having beaten Real Madrid on Tuesday, but Doku has already set his sights on helping City achieve a trio of wins in the space of seven days.
Speaking to TNT Sports he said: "[Winning] that [against Liverpool] would make it a perfect week before the international break.
“We have to rest well, recover well and prepare well for them.
Doku also hailed Haaland after claiming the assist for the striker’s record-breaking Champions League goal.
"In terms of numbers Erling is unbelievable,” the Belgian added. “Tonight he scored just one goal but he is so much more than goals and assists for us. He provides so much and is so important."

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola is relishing the battle against Liverpool - especially now that Arne Slot’s side are back in form following a recent slump that saw them lose four Premier League games in a row.
"They arrive with confidence after Villa and Madrid, and we arrive with confidence,” Guardiola said. “They're our biggest rival in the last nine years. So now tomorrow training, one day off, recover and prepare for the game.
“It's a pleasure to face them, our fans know how much it means and hopefully we can do a good game.”
