Indonesia U-23 Welcomes New Greek-Based Winger Ahead of SEA Games 2025

The Indonesia U-23 national team has added another promising name to its roster as preparations intensify for the SEA Games 2025. Coach Indra Sjafri has called up 22-year-old winger Luke Xavier Keet, who currently plays for GS Ilioupolis in the second division of Greek football. His arrival adds new depth and competition in the wide attacking area as the squad begins its training camp in Jakarta.
Luke has caught local attention after images of him wearing the national team jersey circulated online, signaling his readiness to represent Indonesia. Although raised overseas, he is eligible to play due to his Indonesian heritage. Known for his pace and accurate delivery from the flanks, he has developed his game through European academy systems before earning a spot with Ilioupolis.
His playing style fits well with Indra Sjafri’s approach that emphasizes quick transitions and dynamic wing play. Luke’s addition is expected to bring fresh options in attack, particularly in creating chances from the left side. His background in European football could also contribute to the team’s tactical versatility and on-field maturity.
The call-up comes during a key training phase as the team aims to claim the gold medal at the upcoming SEA Games. The squad will undergo intensive sessions and is scheduled to play two international friendlies against Mali. These matches will serve as an important test for integration and performance evaluation, especially for newcomers looking to secure their place in the final tournament lineup.
