Official: Bayern Forward Díaz Handed Three-Match Suspension for 'Serious Rough Play' Red Card Against PSG

UEFA has officially announced that Bayern Munich forward Díaz has been suspended for three matches following the straight red card he received during the Champions League league phase Matchday 4 fixture against Paris Saint-Germain.
UEFA officially classified the incident, which resulted in an injury to PSG defender Achraf Hakimi, as "serious rough play."
The severity of the punishment was reportedly unexpected by the German club. According to Bayern correspondent Falk, Bayern Munich had anticipated only the mandatory one-match suspension for the red card offense.
In response to the decision, Bayern Munich has already requested the written grounds for the ruling from UEFA. The club is currently planning to file an appeal against the three-match ban, aiming to reduce the forward’s suspension for what they view as a disproportionate penalty.
