Persija Returns to GBK to Celebrate 97th Anniversary Against PSIM

Persija Jakarta is set to host PSIM Yogyakarta at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on November 28 as part of the 2025-26 Super League. The match coincides with the club’s 97th anniversary, making it a special occasion for the team and its supporters. This will be Persija’s first home game at GBK this season after temporarily relocating due to the Jakarta International Stadium being used for concerts.
Previously, Persija played their home matches outside Jakarta, including fixtures at Stadion Manahan in Solo, facing PSBS Biak and Persik Kediri. Despite the disruptions, the team has maintained strong form, achieving five consecutive victories across home and away matches.
Persija currently sits second in the Super League standings with 26 points, reflecting their impressive performance in the season so far. Their position, however, is not entirely secure, as Persib Bandung remains close behind and could catch up depending on the number of matches played.
The return to GBK offers an opportunity for Persija to combine a homecoming with a celebratory atmosphere for the club’s anniversary. Fans can look forward to supporting the team in a familiar stadium while witnessing a continuation of their winning streak.
