Maddison Eager for Return, Uncertain of Exact Injury Comeback Date
During the opening of a new PUMA flagship store, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison discussed his ongoing injury recovery, stating he does not know the specific date of his return but is intensely eager to be back on the pitch.
Maddison explained that he is currently focusing on his rehabilitation one day at a time, working diligently to overcome the injury. He emphasized his impatience to play again, noting, "I’m hungry to play." He highly praised the support from the Spurs medical team, the head coach, and all club staff, stating they are all looking forward to his return.
When asked about his potential availability for next year’s World Cup, Maddison insisted his sole focus remains on his knee recovery, ensuring it feels strong and healthy first. He expressed confidence that once his physical condition is right, everything else will fall into place, allowing him to return to Tottenham and prove himself.
The midfielder also commented on his long-standing partnership with PUMA, which spans seven years, highlighting that the brand has supported him through both good times and bad. He playfully joked about the new store, expressing his excitement to "grab some free stuff."
