Persis Solo Turn to a Familiar Face as Milomir Seslija Returns for Survival Fight

Persis Solo have made a decisive move in the 2025-26 BRI Super League by reappointing Milomir Seslija as head coach. The Bosnian tactician returns to take charge of a struggling side after the club ended its partnership with Peter de Roo due to inconsistent performances.
Seslija is no stranger to Laskar Sambernyawa, having previously led the team during a crucial period in early 2024. Under his guidance, Persis showed a notable improvement and successfully escaped relegation at the end of the 2023-24 season.
The club initially trusted him to continue into the 2024/2025 campaign, but the partnership ended abruptly after a run of five defeats in the opening weeks. Following another change in direction, Persis have now decided to revisit a familiar solution as results once again failed to stabilize.
The task awaiting Seslija is even more demanding this time. Persis sit at the bottom of the table after 14 rounds, collecting just seven points from 13 matches, with only one win and a defense that has conceded heavily.
With survival as the immediate priority, Seslija is expected to push for swift changes within the squad. Adjustments to the team structure and potential new signings are likely as Persis seek renewed competition, improved quality, and a clear path away from the relegation zone.
