Falk: Bayern Unlikely to Activate Jackson’s Buy Clause, Eyes Asllani or Franculino
According to German journalist Christian Falk, Bayern Munich does not currently intend to exercise the purchase option for Nicolas Jackson. Instead, the club is exploring the possibility of signing younger talents like Fisnik Asllani (Hoffenheim) or Franculino Djú (Midtjylland) to serve as reinforcements for Harry Kane.
Falk notes that Kane is currently at the peak of his career under Vincent Kompany, flourishing in a system that allows him to drop into a "Number 10" role and orchestrate the attack. Because Kane rarely suffers injuries and remains the undisputed focal point of the team, finding a direct successor or a high-priced deputy is a complex task for the board.
This development is particularly disappointing for Jackson. While his loan agreement includes a €65 million (£57 million) permanent buyout clause, Bayern is reportedly unwilling to commit such a large sum at this stage. Although the club considers the €16.5 million (£14.4 million) loan fee acceptable—especially if Jackson delivers crucial goals in the Champions League knockout stages—he has yet to make the consistent impact required to justify a permanent transfer. The focus has now shifted toward high-potential youngsters who can provide tactical flexibility when Kane either rests or operates deeper in the midfield.
