FC Porto Extend Farioli’s Contract Until 2028, Add Felipe Sánchez to Coaching Staff

FC Porto have officially announced a contract extension with head coach Francesco Farioli until 30 June 2028, and the addition of Felipe Sánchez as a new assistant coach to the first-team staff.
Farioli took charge of Porto last July and was named Coach of the Month in August. Under his leadership, FC Porto recorded the best first-half season in Portuguese football history and boasts the best defensive record in Europe: just 4 goals conceded in 17 league matches, with 13 clean sheets.
Since the Italian coach’s arrival, Porto have played 27 official matches, recording 23 wins, 2 draws, and 2 losses, scoring 57 goals, and conceding 13. In the Primeira Liga, Porto have posted 16 wins and 1 draw, sitting top of the table with 49 points.
According to Portuguese media, the renewed contract includes an updated release clause: it rises to €20 million when the transfer window is closed and remains at €15 million during other periods.
