Real Madrid have officially released an injury update on Jude Bellingham, confirming that the England midfielder has suffered an injury to his left thigh semitendinosus muscle. Further assessment is still ongoing.
In an official statement, Real Madrid said that medical tests conducted today by the club’s medical staff confirmed an injury to Bellingham’s left thigh semitendinosus muscle, with his condition still under observation.
In the 8th minute of Real Madrid’s La Liga Round 22 home match against Rayo Vallecano, Bellingham felt a sharp pain in his left thigh while carrying the ball forward and immediately signalled to be substituted.
The player eventually walked off the pitch on his own, but was seen in tears. According to AS, Bellingham has suffered a muscle tear and is expected to be sidelined for around one month.
