Barcelona Rejects €30 Million Bid as Rising Star Marc Bernal Deemed Untouchable

Barcelona moved through the winter transfer window with relatively little activity, bringing in only João Cancelo while parting ways with Marc-André ter Stegen. Despite the quiet approach, several players attracted outside interest, including promising young midfielder Marc Bernal, whose development has drawn attention from multiple clubs.

Bernal recently marked an important milestone by scoring his first goal for Barcelona in a victory over Mallorca. Earlier in the season, Girona had shown interest in signing him on loan, and discussions between the clubs briefly explored that possibility. In the end, the decision was made to keep the youngster at Spotify Camp Nou for the remainder of the campaign.

As the transfer window approached its closing hours, another opportunity for Bernal to leave emerged. Turkish giants Galatasaray reportedly submitted a €30 million offer in an attempt to secure the midfielder, presenting an ambitious financial package that included a substantial salary increase intended to persuade him to move.

Barcelona, however, quickly rejected the proposal and made it clear that Bernal was not available for transfer. The club’s management views him as a key part of its long-term plans, believing his potential could one day place him among the world’s top midfielders.

Although the offer from Galatasaray was significant, Barcelona remained confident in its stance. The club sees Bernal’s value continuing to rise in the coming years and considers retaining him an investment in the team’s future rather than a short-term financial opportunity.
