Dortmund Slash Guirassy Price, Giving AC Milan Fresh Transfer Hope

AC Milan have received encouraging news ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, as Borussia Dortmund are reportedly prepared to lower their asking price for Serhou Guirassy. The revised valuation could reopen serious discussions after last year’s attempt to bring the striker to San Siro fell short due to financial constraints.
During the previous summer window, Milan showed concrete interest in the 29-year-old forward. However, Dortmund stood firm on a €70 million release clause, a figure that Milan’s management considered excessive. That valuation ultimately ended negotiations before they could progress further, forcing the Italian side to look elsewhere for attacking reinforcements.
Recent reports now suggest that Dortmund are willing to negotiate within a €40–50 million range. Such a reduction significantly changes the landscape of the deal and may prompt Milan to accelerate their pursuit. With plans to strengthen the squad ahead of next season, the club’s leadership sees this as a more realistic opportunity to secure a proven goal scorer.
Guirassy’s performances this season have reinforced his appeal. The Guinea international has netted 11 goals in the Bundesliga, underlining his efficiency and composure in front of goal. His profile fits the type of striker Milan are seeking to sharpen their attacking edge under Massimiliano Allegri, as the club aims to compete at the highest level domestically and in Europe.
Despite the more accessible price tag, competition remains a serious factor. Several Saudi Arabian clubs are reportedly in active contact with the player’s representatives and are prepared to offer a lucrative salary package. Still, the prospect of continuing his career in one of Europe’s elite leagues could work in Milan’s favor, especially given their long-standing interest in the striker.
