O'Hara Criticizes Sánchez: Constantly Making Basic Errors, Goalkeeping Like Non-League Level

February 22 – In a Premier League match that concluded earlier, Chelsea drew 1-1 with Burnley. Jamie O'Hara, appearing on *The Matchday Hotline* show in a segment with Jason Cundy, heavily criticized Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sánchez, bluntly stating his keeping "looks like non-league level."
Chelsea took the lead in the 4th minute through João Pedro, leading many to expect a comfortable win for the West London side. However, despite dominating possession, Chelsea failed to capitalize on their early goal. Notably, there was a moment late in the game where, as Chelsea were desperately defending a lead, Robert Sánchez opted to smash the ball long to João Pedro, who was suffering from cramp.
Reacting to this, O'Hara said: "How old is Robert Sánchez? He's not young, is he? He's experienced." As Cundy attempted to interject, O'Hara continued: "85th minute, ball comes to Robert Sánchez. What you do is, you catch it, you go down, you waste time. What did he do?"
"Robert Sánchez boots it straight to a Burnley player and they're off on a counter-attack! He made that mistake twice! I'm watching him thinking: 'What is he doing?!' It's got nothing to do with youth, it's just stupidity!"
Cundy agreed, adding: "Catch it, go down, waste time. Robert Sánchez kicks it to João Pedro, who's got cramp. What's Pedro supposed to do with the ball there? It's three vs one. Even if it's a perfect pass, what's he supposed to do? It's three vs one."
O'Hara continued: "You catch the ball, go down, let your teammates have a breather, and then you smash it into the corner flag, you know? That kills two minutes. It's these basic, basic errors that Chelsea keep making. It's unbelievable. It's stuff you see in non-league."
