Indonesia’s Top Goalkeepers Head-to-Head Ahead of FIFA Series 2026

The Indonesian national team is gearing up for the FIFA Series 2026 by calling five goalkeepers to the squad, giving coach John Herdman multiple options for the upcoming matches at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium. With games scheduled for March 27 and 30, the competition for the starting goalkeeper spot has become a key focus, as all candidates demonstrate relatively balanced skill levels.
Emil Audero, the most experienced among them, plays in Europe for Cremonese. Over 28 appearances this season, he conceded 37 goals while achieving eight clean sheets, showcasing his reliability in high-pressure environments like Serie A. His total of 103 saves and solid match ratings underline his consistency at a top European level.
Maarten Paes, who recently joined Ajax, has participated in only four matches but managed two clean sheets and 13 saves. While his statistics reflect strong performance, his limited playing time compared to other candidates could influence Herdman’s decision when choosing the main goalkeeper.
In domestic competition, Nadeo Argawinata and Ernando Ari have both been key figures for their clubs. Nadeo, representing Borneo FC, played 25 matches with eight clean sheets and 92 saves, while Ernando from Persebaya Surabaya contributed 82 saves across 23 games. Both show consistent form and highlight the depth of goalkeeping talent in Indonesia.
Cahya Supriadi completes the group with 23 appearances for PSIM Yogyakarta, recording eight clean sheets and 75 saves. The collective performances of these five goalkeepers offer strong options for the national team, though the final decision on the starting role rests entirely with Herdman, who must balance experience, current form, and match readiness.
