Indonesia Makes Late Squad Switch Ahead of FIFA Series Final Clash

Indonesia’s national team has made a last-minute adjustment to its squad ahead of the FIFA Series 2026 final, replacing Mauro Zijlstra with Jens Raven due to injury. Zijlstra, who previously played a key role in the team’s success, is sidelined after sustaining a knock in the earlier match.
The final will see Indonesia face Bulgaria at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta. The team enters the decisive match with strong momentum after securing a dominant 4–0 victory over Saint Kitts and Nevis in the previous round.
In that match, Indonesia showcased an impressive attacking performance. Beckham Putra contributed two goals, while Ole Romeny and Mauro Zijlstra each added one, sealing a comprehensive win that boosted confidence within the squad.
Despite his contribution, Zijlstra’s injury forced the coaching staff and federation to rethink their lineup. The decision was officially confirmed by PSSI, which stated that the striker could not continue due to the physical impact he suffered during the earlier game.
As a replacement, Jens Raven has been called up after receiving approval from FIFA. Already listed among the preliminary players, Raven quickly joined team training and now has a strong opportunity to make his debut for the senior national team in this crucial final.
